Part IV: "Return to the Past"
For three days the exiles, who now insisted on being addressed as the Artronnens, had been welcomed into the city. Onlookers couldn't help but stare at the familiar looking, but different, men and women who had arrived from the distant land. None of them remembered the exiles, but how could they? They were not thrown out of their homes like discarded toys. They've been perfectly happy for five hundred years. Whey should they even TRY to remember?
Well, Duke Blavidus thought to himself, they'll remember us soon enough.
The Duke was standing in a dark alley. Alone and away from the hustle and bustle of Hyrule Market. Silently, he reached into his pocket and produced a gleaming metal syringe with an extrodinarily long needle and something green inside. With a quick thrust, he jabbed the needle into his abdomen. As he removed the needle, his face seemed to twist and distort, but only for a second before it returned to normal.
"If only they knew..."

Once again, Link was not surprised when a sage appeared within his room. This time, however, it was only Rauru, Sage of Light, who stood before him in his chamber. The frown on Link's face was evident.
"Have you come to chastise me, now?" Link asked. "Just like you did with my mother?"
"Ah," Rauru replied with his usual expression," but your mother ridicules her destiny. You seek to accept it, do you not?"
"You could say that."
For once, Rauru smiled.
"In that case, I am here to take you on a journey. It is time for you to learn the true nature of the Artronnens. You may be surprised."
With a quick gesture, Rauru opened a shimmering blue portal in front of Link.
"Go on," Rauru said, "your destiny awaits."
Together, Link and Rauru stepped into the portal and began viewing another time.
Meanwhile, as she stood alone in the courtyard, Zelda felt another loved one slip away...
