Legend of Zelda: Ganon's Deadly Trio

by: Jason Boaz.

---------------------------------------------------------------

PROLOGUE:

A long time ago...in the kingdom of Hyrule, a legend was handed down from generation to generation...the legend of the three Triforces, each one possessing great mystic energy. One for Wisdom, one for Power, and one for Courage.

Then, one dark day, an evil army led by the Prince of Darkness, Ganon, attacked Hyrule and stole the Triforce of Power. Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule, managed to save the Triforce of Wisdom, knowing that if Ganon ever possessed the Triforces of Wisdom and Power, he would rule the land forever.

The third Triforce, Courage, remained hidden for a reason. Only a mighty hero, possessing special powers and a strong character, would be able to discover it. Zelda send her loyal nursemaid Impa to find this hero...However, Zelda didn't get quite what she expected.

Impa found this hero. A young adventurer named Link who had come to Hyrule in search for excitement, fame and romance. He would find all three and he would carry the Triforce of Courage in his heart. But as Link too would soon discover...things in Hyrule don't go quite the way you expect. And thus thew legend ends and the adventure begins.... ---------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 1: Ganon Summons his Deadly Trio

It all started at the North Palace, home of Zelda, Link, King Harkinian, and the Triforce of Wisdom. Link was taking a snooze in his room. As always, his, room the room where he guarded the Triforce of Wisdom was a mess! Unknown to him, a squadron of Moblins. Stalfos, and Darias were about to attack. There were five monsters in all...2 Stalfos, 2 Darias, and 1 Moblin.

Moblin: Whatever you do, Daria 1, don't drop the bomb until I say so.

Daria 1: Don't do what?

Moblin: Drop the Bomb.

Daria 1: Okay. (drops bomb)

Stalfos 1: NNNOOOOO!!!

Moblin: Too late.

The ignorant Daria dropped the bomb, and it exploded, sending himself and a Stalfos into the Evil Jar.

Moblin: Oh, boy. (slaps his face) This isn't going very well.

Now, the Moblin gave the second Stalfos his orders.

Moblin: Now, throw that boomerang and hit Link. He'll he out cold for several minutes...long enough for us to steal the Triforce of WIsdom. Now don't mess up!

Stalfos 2: I'll try.

The second Stalfos threw the boomerang at Link. Unfortunately, for the bad guys, when the Stalfos hurled the boomerang at Link, he turned to the other corner in his sleep, causing the boomerang to miss him completely. The boomerang hit the remaining three monsters. All were catapulted back into the Evil Jar.

Moblin: (disappearing) OOOHHHHH NNNOOO!!!

Daria 2: (disappearing) This all your fault, Stalfos!!

Stalfos 2: (disappearing) Sorry.

Link woke up for a moment, just in time to see the monsters send themselves into the Evil Jar...by mistake.

Link: Let's face it, I'm good.

Link went back to sleep.

Meanwhile, in Death Mountain, Ganon saw his squad of monsters materialize into the Evil Jar. He had seen everything through his crystal ball. He wasn't too happy about it.

Ganon: YOU STUPID, IDIOTIC FOOLS!! You bungled yet another assignment!!

Moblin: Don't blame me, Master Ganon, blame that stupid Daria, and that dumb Stalfos. THEY RUINED IT!

Daria: LIES! It all Stupid Moblin's fault!

Stalfos: Hey, don't blame me!

Ganon: SILENCE!!

All of Ganon's creatures became silent.

Ganon: I can't put up with this incompitence any longer!! You stupid fools mess up EVERY TIME!! That leaves me only one choice. I must summon my three best warriors from the Evil Jar. Agahnim, Dark Link, Evil Zelda, COME FORTH!!

The monsters quivered in fear as Ganon's three fiercest warriors were freed from the Evil Jar.

Agahnim: Ah, Master Ganon. It has been a long time since I was defeated by Link II, my liege.

Ganon: Save the formalities, Agahnim. I have a mission for you and....(interrupted by Dark Link and Evil Zelda) What the?

Dark Link: You're nothing but a spoiled brat, Princess Pest!

Evil Zelda: Well at least I'm not a washed up evil version of Link, LIKE YOU!!

Dark Link: Well, Excccuuuussse me, Princess!! At least I've been around since the Imprisoning War, 200 years ago! I've got more experience than you!

Evil Zelda: Experience?! Ha! You were beaten by the first AND the third Link!!

Ganon was having a headache.

Ganon: (to himself) These two act just like their good counterparts...that is so disturbing.

Ganon yelled at the bickering twosome.

Ganon: SHUT UP!!

Evil Zelda and Dark Link obeyed.

Evil Zelda & Dark Link: Yes sir.

Ganon: Now, as I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted...(glares at Evil Zelda and Dark Link) I have a mission for you three. You are to attack Hyrule Castle, and steal the Triforce of Wisdom! if Link and Zelda try to stop you, DESTROY THEM!! I have waited two hundred years for this moment. Finally, VICTORY WILL BE MINE!! (evil laughter) Geh heh heh ha ha ha ha ha hee hee hee ho ho ho ho ho AH HA HA HA HA HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!

Chapter 2: The Secret of Kylara

Later, in the North Palace, Kylara, a native of Link's home village of Calatia, was visiting Link. As always, she was determined to make him her husband. Unkown to anyone, though, she had a secret agenda.

Kylara: Hello, Linkie-Winkie. How's about a kiss for your future wife?

Link was disgusted with that nickname she just called him.

Link: Linkie-Winkie? Blech! That's the most ridiculous nickname I've EVER been called!! Besides, if I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, my heart belongs to Zelda.

As usual, Zelda hid her true feelings for Link, and insulted him. She even insisted upon Kylara kissing Link.

Zelda: Hmmph. All you've got of me that belongs to you is my portait, hanging by your bed, in that god-foresaken room of yours! Kylara, be my guest. Kiss him.

Link: (surprised) But, Zelda?!

Kylara: (excited) Thank you, Zelda! (kisses Link, ON THE LIPS!)

Link: Now, wait a...(voice muffled) MMMPPPMMMPPHHH!!

Just as Kylara was kissing Link, she sensed a great evil...an evil who sent her into the Dark World a century ago in her previous life as one of the seven maidens...AGAHNIM!

Kylara: (to herself) NO! it can't be! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!! Agahnim has finally returned! I must leave and consult my ancestor, Rauru, Sage of Light, at once!!

Kylara excused herself.

Kylara: I'm sorry to do this, but I have to go. I don't feel well.

Link: Sorry to hear that, Kylara. See you soon. (Yeah, right!)

Zelda escorted Kylara out.

Zelda: Go right this way, to the exit. (points straight ahead) Thank you, and Goodbye.

As Kylara left the Castle, Impa came in, along with Sprite and Miff. Sprite is Link's fairy, and Miff is, in turn, Zelda's fairy.

Impa: Princess Zelda, Link, the King has requested your audience. Please come immediately.

Link: Aw, do I HAVE to?

Sprite: Come on, Link. This is important.

MIff: Yeah. Besides, you don't want to be a disappointment to Princess Zelda, as you usually are, now do you?

Link was agitated at Miff's words.

Link: Butt out, Miff!! (exasperated sigh) Alright, I'm coming.

As our heroes left for one meeting, Kylara went into the Temple of Time for an entirely different meeting. She goes into the chamber where the Pedestal of Time stands....the same Pedestal of Time where the Master Sword originally slept. She got out the Light Medallion, symbol of her family, and called upon her ancestor, Rauru, the Sage of Light.

Kylara: (hold medallion) I call upon my honored ancestor, the Sage of Light from the Chamber of Sages in the Sacred Realm. Please, help me in my time of need.

Then, just as she called, Rauru, the Sage of Light appeared before her.

Rauru: I am here, Kylara. What do you need, my dear descendant?

Kylara explained the situation.

Kylara: Agahnim has finally returned, after all this time. Hyrule is in extreme peril. What should I do?

Rauru: There is only one thing you can do, Kylara. You must tell Link and Zelda the truth about your origin. You cannot hide under your reincarnated form any longer.

Kylara: I understand. I'll do it. Besides, I knew someday this would come to pass.

Rauru: Good. And now, Kylara, I must go. Always be true to the path of goodness and light, and no evil will harm you. And Remember, once you reveal your true self, your time in this Realm will end after the great battle. You will take your rightful place with me in the Sacred Realm, for all time.

Kylara: I will remember...and thank you, my ancestor.

Rauru: Farewell, Kylara.

With that goodbye, Rauru returned to the Sacred Realm.

Later, at the meeting in the North Palace, the King was finishing his briefing with his daughter, Zelda, and Link.

Harkinian: And so, you must stop this new evil, who is leading Dark Link and Evil Zelda into our Castle.

Link: Don't worry, your highness. There's no creature that's too powerful for me to stop.

Suddenly, Kylara came into the throne room.

Kylara: I'm afraid you're badly mistaken, Link.

Link, Harkinian & Zelda: KYLARA!!

Kylara: (continues) This is an ancient evil, who 100 years ago, sent me, Princess Zelda's ancestor, and 5 other maidens into the Dark World, where Ganon was trying to open the seal the Seven Sages created long ago.

Link was completely puzzled.

Link: Seven Sages? Seal? I've never heard of these things.

Zelda: I have. Long ago, Ganondorf Dragmire, the Gerudo King of Thieves, had discovered the hidden entrance into the Sacred Realm, by following Link's distant ancestor, into the Temple of Time. As Link I retrieved the Master Sword, his foes entered the Realm with full force. When he and his army found the Triforce, a long-running battle was fought, and Ganondorf was the victor.

Link: Ganondorf...as in Ganon?

Kylara: Yes. After Ganon vanquished all of his followers, he touched the Triforce. But, his heart was not in balance, so the Triforce separated into the three components you have now...Power, Wisdom and Courage. But even one piece of the Triforce was enough to conquer the Sacred Realm.

Zelda: That's right. Ganondorf became the Great King of Evil. Many more people entered the Sacred Realm, which was now known as the Dark World, to find the Triforce. But no one ever returned...

Link: What does this have to do with Kylara? And what about this...Agahnim?

Kylara: I'm getting to that. One day, evil power began flowing from the entrance, and in seven short years, Hyrule became a land of monsters. Fortunately, Rauru awakened Link I at that time. He took on his role as the Hero of TIme, and awakened five Sages. Saria, Darunia, Princess Ruto, Impa, and Nabooru of the Gerudo.

Link was even more confused than before.

Link: You're saying that these Sages were the ones the towns of Hyrule were named after?

Kylara: Yes.

Link: But...I thought there were Seven Sages, not Six.

Zelda: There are. My direct Ancestor, the First Princess Zelda, was the seventh sage, and the leader of them all. Together, with the Hero of Time, they fought Ganondorf, who seemingly died. But, after Link I and Zelda I made their escape, he became Ganon. After a great fight, he defeated Ganon, and the 7 Sages banished him into the Dark World. Peace returned to Hyrule...until a century later.

Link: I understand. But what about this Agahnim character?

Kylara: He is Ganon's greatest wizard. he sent me, and the other 6 maidens into the Dark World. But, he was not unopposed.

Zelda: Right. Your next ancestor, Link II, was the Legendary Hero. He retrieved the Master Sword, which was then moved to the Lost Woods, and fought the Dark Wizard and beaten him...But, Agahnim sent him into the Dark World.

Kylara: Fortunately, Link II was able to save all of us. With the help of Zora, Roam*, and Epheremelda the fairie*, he was able to free all 7 maidens from crystal cocoons, and used their power to go into Ganon's Tower. I should know...I was there. I am Kylara, one of the Seven Maidens, and descendant of Rauru, Sage of Light.

Link: And all this time, Kylara, I thought you were just a love-crazy girl who wanted to marry me.

Kylara: I do want to marry you...but that is no longer possible.

Zelda: Why is that?

Kylara: Because, I am only to reveal the truth of my origin when a grave evil from the past comes forth, and threatens Hyrule. Now that I have told you who I am, my time in this Realm will soon end. When the battle is over, I will move on to the Sacred Realm...forever.

Link was saddened by what she had said.

Link: B...but that means.....I'll....never see you again.

Kylara: No...do not grieve for me when I am called....because it is destiny that you and I cannot live in the same world. Zelda, you complete the story.

Zelda was more than eager to finish telling the tale.

Zelda: Thank you. A fight had begun, and our heroes, Link II, Zelda II, and Roam were pitted against Agahnim a second time. Making the Supreme Sacrifice, Roam took out Agahnim...at the cost of his own life. Then, as Agahnim "died," Ganon had appeared out of his body, and began to fight against the remaining two warriors. Link II managed to paralyze Ganon long enough for Zelda II to send a Silver Arrow into him, thus vanquishing the Evil King for a time. Then, Link II touched the Triforce, which was brought with them on their return to Hyrule. As he touched it, Epheremelda bade him farewell. Following Ganon's defeat, The Dark World vanished, releasing many who had been trapped there in monstrous form. The longed-for peace once again returned to Hyrule. Link II was appointed as the master of the Knights of Hyrule by the newly-crowned Queen Zelda....and the Master Sword sleeps again....FOREVER....or so we thought.

Link: What do you mean? Are you saying I can't beat him with the Cressword?

Zelda: Exactly. We must go to the Lost Woods without delay. (leaves the room, and then returns) Put these three pendants on.

Link: Why?

Kylara: If you are truly Hyrule's greatest hero...you'll need those 3 pendants to pull out the Master Sword.

Link: Well...what are we waiting for?! LET'S GO!!

And so, Link, Kylara and Zelda rushed off to the Lost Woods...and the Master Sword.

Meanwhile, Agahnim, Evil Zelda and Dark Link were getting closer to the Castle. Can our heroic trio stop them in time?

---------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 3: The Great Fight

In the Lost Woods, Link, Zelda and Kylara have finally reached the area where the Master Sword rested. Link was amazed with the powerful Sword of Evil's Bane.

Link: AHA!! The Master Sword!

As he approached the stone where it was struck in, he was instructed by Kylara.

Kylara: If you are indeed the hero who has Power, Wisdom, and Courage....the Master Sword itself will...select YOU!

Link grabbed the handle with all of his might. Then, all three Pendants of Virtue glowed, as he was able to retrieve the Legendary Sword of Evil's Bane.

Link: WHOA!!

He looked at the Master Sword with amazement.

Link: POWER...so much POWER! It's like holding a lightning bolt!

Zelda: Yes. It is powerful. Now, we have to hurry!! Agahnim is at the Castle Gates!!

Kylara: COME ON!

As the three heroes returned to the Castle, Agahnim, Dark Link and Evil Zelda already began their attack!

Dark Link: HA HA HA!! You cannot stop the forces of the Great Ganon this time, you goody-too-shoes!!

Evil Zelda: AH Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!! This time, WE ARE INVINCIBLE!

Captian Krin and his forces were being overwhelmed by this evil threesome.

Krin: (to the King) Your majesty, The enemy are overpowering us! We must call a retreat!

Harkinian: Oh dear...it looks as if we have NO CHOICE. RETREAT!!

Just then, the sound of the Master Sword's mighty Beam Attack was heard from the distance. It struck Agahnim at a vital moment in casting a spell which would send the entire Castle into the Sacred Realm.

Agahnim: Ne-aan-deru-taa....(hit by beam attack) UUNNGGGHH!! That beam...it CAN'T BE!!!

Agahnim turned around and saw Link, Zelda, and Kylara ready for battle. Zelda gave the other two heroes their targets.

Zelda: Kylara, you take on Dark Link with your powers. Link, Agahnim's all yours. Evil Zelda is MINE!!

And so the battle began. Agahnim was zapping Link left and right, barely missing him.

Link: (dodging magic blasts) WHOA!! AHHH!! EEP!! YYYEEOOWW!!

Kylara fought Dark Link with her own powers, and both foes were evenly matched.

Kylara: (zapping Dark Link) Take this!! And That!! And a little of these...you lame imatation of Link!

Dark Link: (using magic shield to deflect her blows) UUNNNGGHHH! I won't let you DEFEAT ME!!

And, Zelda and her evil twin were deadlocked in a slugfest.

Zelda: (punching Evil Zelda in the eye, the face, and the stomach) That'll teach you to mess with MY BOYFRIEND!!

Evil Zelda: (getting hit, and then reciprocates with the same blows Zelda gave her) Oh yeah?! I'll mess with him anytime I want!!

Back at Death Mountain, Ganon was watching the whole thing. He was distressed.

Ganon: This is not good. So far, it's an even match...but if Link discovers Agahnim's secret weakness...then defeat will be certain.

Back at the Castle, Link tried to slice at Agahnim...but the Master Sword's blade passed through his adversary as if he were a ghost.

Link: WHAT THE HECK?!

Agahnim: Heh heh heh. Haven't you heard the old legend about me, foolish whelp?

Link: What are you talking about?

Agahnim: "Even the mighty Master Sword cannot harm the Wizard's Body!" Ha ha ha ha ha!!

Link: Crud. And I thought it would do the job!

Zelda, who was still battling Evil Zelda, finally got out her Magic Bow. She sent an arrow into her impostor.

Zelda: Gotcha!

Evil Zelda, who was amazed, was now sent to the Evil Jar, in defeat.

Evil Zelda: WHY I OUGHTA...(disappears) I'LL GET YOU YET, MY GOOD COUNTERPART!!

Kylara, who was battling Dark Link, also got in a lucky blast. He too, was hurled into the Evil Jar.

Kylara: Bye bye.

Dark Link: NOOO!! I'LL GET EVEN WITH YOU SOMEDAY!! (disappears)

Zelda and Kylara were now free to tell Link the secret to defeating Agahnim...and just in time, too. Agahnim was getting Link's butt whipped!

Agahnim: Hah hah hah!! And now, for the final blow, foolish hero!! (sends a magic blast at Link)

Link: A little help here, guys!

Zelda: Link, listen! Agahnim's magic is like a double-edged sword...

Link was holding the Master Sword upright, and had no idea what Zelda just said.

Link: What do you mean?

Kylara told him what Zelda had said meant.

Kylara: The Master Sword was also forged to repel evil magic!

Link: It can defend as well as attack?

Link kept the Master Sword in the current position. It took Agahnim's shot and sent it right back at him.

Link: I have you now, Agahnim! Your own evil energy will be the end of YOU!

Agahnim: NOOOOO!!

Agahnim could not repel the blast, and was hit by his own magic spell.

Agahnim: Urrrgh...

The Dark Wizard was slowly dematerializing into the Evil Jar.

Agahnim: Well met, like the true hero you are! It appears that you are not such a fool after all...but, it makes no difference...(starts to disappear)...one day, when I am at full power once more....I...SHALL...RETUUURRRNNNN!! (disappears)

The battle had been won...for the moment.

Link: Well, I do say that it's a job well done. By the way Zelda, was what you said about me being youe boyfriend true?

As always, Zelda was in denial.

Zelda: You are not!

Link: Yes I am. (singsong) That's why you defended me! And...remember that you were the only one who could see me when I was a ghost, because YOU LOVE ME.

Zelda: Well...I guess I do love you...a little.

Link was SO HAPPY, he yelled his praises out loud.

Link: YESS! ZELDA LOVES ME! ZELDA LOVES ME!! ZEEELLLLDDDAA LOOOVVVEEESSS MMMEEE!!!

Kylara laughed.

Kylara: (giggles) Does he do this ALL THE TIME?

Zelda: (sighs) Afraid so, Kylara. But, even with all his faults, he's still the Greatest Hero of Hyrule. (tunrs to Link) If I kiss you, will you calm down?

Link was excited when he heard what Zelda said she'd do.

Link: YOU BET!!

Back at Death Mountain, Ganon was very angry. So angry, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Ganon: NNNNOOOOO!!! MY BEST FORCES BEATEN BY THOSE THREE HEROES!! THAT'S IT!! No more Mr. Nice Guy. I'm going to take them all down myself. (teleports to battlefield)

Just as Link and Zelda were about to kiss, they were totally disrrupted by Ganon's appearance.

Ganon: (teleports in) NOT SO FAST, HEROES!!!

Link: (agitated) Aw, man! THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS!!

Ganon: This time, I have you right where I want you! Especially you, Kylara!! Twice now, you have meddle in my affairs, but no more!! Now, you're mine!!

Kylara realized that she, Link and Zelda had a BIG advantage,

Kylara: Aü contraire, Ganon. We have you right where we want YOU!

Ganon: Huh? Why is that?

Zelda and Link caught on quick.

Zelda: Because, we have the two great weapons that can completely destroy you. (pulls out silver arrow) The Silver Arrows...

Link: (completing Zelda's sentence)...And the Master Sword.

Kylara: And besides, the power of the Seven Sages are with us. If we wanted to, we'd send you into the Dark World in a heartbeat, so I'd suggest you'd leave...NOW!!

Ganon realized the gravity of his situation.

Ganon: I see. To remain here would surely mean my complete downfall. You're absolutely right. You may have won this time, but I'LL BE BACK!! (teleports back to Death Mountain, in defeat)

As Ganon teleported back to Death Mountain, he saw the unthinkable occur...Evil Zelda was about to give Dark Link a kiss,

Dark Link: Kiss me, Princess.

Evil Zelda: I guess I will. Pucker up, my dear Dark Link.

Just as they were about to kiss, Ganon shook the Evil Jar with his bare hands...which in turn shook everyone in there up...even Dark Link and Evil Zelda.

Ganon: KNOCK IT OFF, YOU LOVESTRUCK FOOLS!!

Evil Zelda: (being shook up) Sssssoooorrrryyy, Mmmaasssttteeerrrr.

Dark Link: THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS!!

When Ganon stopped shaking the Evil Jar, he turned around and thought about how bad a day he had.

Ganon: (to himself) This just hasn't been my day.

--------------------------------------------------------------- CONCLUSION: Kylara Moves On

At the Lost Woods, Zelda and Kylara watched as Link placed the Master Sword back into the stone to rest. After he had done that, it was time for Zelda and Link to say goodbye to their friend and ally, Kylara.

Link: Well, Kylara, I guess this is goodbye.

Kylara: I know, Link. I'll miss you and Zelda a lot. But the Sacred Realm is my home now...and I must go there.

Zelda hugged Kylara with a warm embrace of friendship.

Zelda: Goodbye, Kylara. May the Golden Goddesses of Hyrule watch over you always. (cries)

Kylara: Thank you, Zelda. I'll never forget you, or Link. You both have been good friends. I will always cherish the memories of this, my final moments in the Light World.

Zelda: And well will always remember you, Kylara.

Link and Zelda stepped back, as a light from the sky touched the ground, landing on Kylara. Rauru's voice was then heard.

Rauru: Thank you, Link III and Zelda III. Together, with Kylara, you have faced your greatest battle. There will be others, but I know you will triumph. (turns his attention to Kylara) And now, my dearest descendant, it is time to take your rightful place by my side, at the Sacred Realm. Before you leave, though, you must give Link and Zelda something to remember you by.

Kylara knew exactly what to give them.

Kylara: Thank you, Rauru. Link, Zelda, take this medallion. (gives them the Light Medallion) Think of this as a memento from my final moments on this Realm. Treasure it always.

Link: We will, Kylara....and thanks...for everything.

Then, Kylara looked up into the light, and spirited away into the Sacred Realm in a yellow light. She bade farewell to her friends.

Kylara: Goodbye, Zelda. Goodbye, Link. I will always be with you...in spirit.

Link and Zelda waved at their departing friend. and wished her good luck.

Link & Zelda: Goodbye, Kylara! And good luck in your new life!

As Kylara was completely sent into the Sacred Realm, the light faded. Kylara was now with her ancestor, Rauru, Ganon was once again beaten by Zelda and Link, Peace once more reigned in Hyrule...and the Master Sword sleeps again...FOREVER!!
