The Untitled Fan-fic

Summary:
Link and Zelda are in love, and they have been for quite a while. That is, until a snobby noble comes into the country and sweeps Zelda off her feet and then Zelda seems to fall in love with him. To tell anymore would give the story away!

Link and Zelda were sitting on a tall hill to the west of Hyrule Castle. The sun was setting behind them, and they had been sitting there for hours. "I love you, Zelda."
"I love you too, Link." The cold wind ruffled the hair on their heads, but they both didn't seem to mind. As long as they had eachother, the weather could never ruin them or wear them into tiny pieces.
"Hey, Link..." Zelda paused. "Don't you wonder what Hyrule will be like in 100 years?"
"Not really. I bet there will be a lot of new things for our grandkids, and maybe even our kids..." he paused, realizing it sounded like he wanted to marry her and have children. He did, but not quite yet. "Well, why does it matter anyway? We probably won't be here."
"I know, but, wouldn't it be cool if we were here? We'd be meek old people that couldn't barely move!" They heard the coyote clan in the Lost Woods howl all the way to where they were, which was quite far away."I think we should go. Its already night! How fast the hours pass!" Link nodded sadly. "Lets go," he took hold of her hand like the gentleman he was, and led her to Epona. Zelda patted Epona softly on the head, and it whinnied softly, as if to tell her 'thank you.' Link mounted next, and wrapped both of his arms around her waist. She glanced back at him with a smile.
"Hey, where's Navi been while we were gone?" Zelda inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"I told her to hang out with her fairy friends because I was going a little somewhere." Zelda giggled at this. How Link longed to kiss her. He was 15! That was old enough to date! "Zelda..." there was a pause, and they gazed into each other's eyes. They leaned forward, closed their eyes, tilted their heads, and prepared to kiss, until...
"LINK!" They looked over quickly and opened their eyes. Navi was fluttering there, looking at them suspiciously. She shrugged it off, and either she knew, and didn't care, or she hadn't seen what they were about to do. "Saria wants to see you."
"Umm, okay. Tell her I'll be right there. Give me twenty minutes, okay?" Navi nodded and flew off with a 'whiz!' sound. Link had forgotten what he was going to do, and so had Zelda.
They rode off to the Castle and Link bid her good-by. She smiled dreamily at him. He loved her sooo much! "She's the prettiest woman in the world...and the kindest, also." Link murmured softly to himself. He loved every little thing about her, and she wasn't all that rude. Sometimes she could be cross, though. He rode on, daydreaming with all of his might, but something caught his attention.

"You're going to meet Princess Zelda, Master Cecil Barnes?" There was a small, very slender boy with a heavy pack on his back, and he was carrying man more heavy packs in his arms. He was a strong, young little man.
"Yes I am! Her father thinks that if she doesn't marry by the time she's sixteen, then she will be made out to be an old maiden. I'm going to marry her, though. I hear she's very beautiful."
"But you are seven years older than she!" The meek, slender man called out.
"So? Age doesn't matter, just love, my boy. Her father arranged for us to meet tonight, and he's not going to tell her until we arrive tonight. He thinks that I will make a good husband, and she will move with me to Calark Island. There, she shall clean for me day and night, cook my meals, and do everything for me. Her father says that she's as good as mine," Cecil grinned.
Link thought hard. This man was talking about Zelda as if she were a slave, a meek young girl. Well, that was true. Her mind wasn't fully developed and she was very vulnerable. But him, marry Zelda? No way was Link going to let that happen! Link figured he should see what this guy looked like, and maybe have a conversation or two with him.
Link rode off, and purposely crossed Ceceil Barnes path. "Oh! Are you the famed Hero of Time?" Link halted immediately, glanced over, and dismounted. He marched over to Cecil.
"Well, that much is true. I'm Link, the Hero of Time, and Princess Zelda's boyfriend," he shot, pretending he didn't know that this man was going to try to steal Zelda away from him, and in the same process, giving him a hint to stay away from his girlfriend.
"Oh, so you're the scum from the Kokiri Forest," Cecil sneered, looking down at Link. "You're a Hylian, not a Kokiri."
Link puffed his chest up and stood as tall as Cecil did. He glared into Cecil's eyes. "Whatever it is that I am, its not scum."
"You're just a mere peasant that saved Hyrule! You are not a noble like me! You're the lowest on the Social Level!" (Editors Note: About time someone put Link in his place!)
"A peasant I may be, but in my heart I'm rich with love and kindness."
"Didn't your parents ever teach you that the heart is not what matters in life? A heart of kindness will get you nowhere! Real money, young man, gets you someplace. And, oh yeah, Stay away from Princess Zelda, because she's no longer your girlfriend, she's mine." Cecil shoved Link down, and Link regretted ever coming to this strange man to announce that Zelda was his girlfriend. Link mounted, figuring that he would do something tomorrow, to try to get Zelda away before this man stole her away.

"Hello, father," Zelda greeted kindly to her father who sat on his throne as she walked into the castle. She took her seat next to him in a tiny throne. Suddenly, on either side of the red carpet that led to the two thrones, journalists from many different newspapers in Hyrule appeared, asking a bunch of questions. "Father, whats going on?"
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, didn't I? I found the perfect suitor for you, my lovely daughter! You will date him for a few months, and then my wonderful little girl shall marry!" "Marry a total stranger? But father, I love Link!"
"Link will not make a good husband, he will make a good warrior or Knight. You shall marry Cecil Barnes, and only he shall you marry."
"You cannot force me to marry a total stranger," Zelda shot back.
"Watch me," The King replied angrily. Zelda stood and ran off sobbing into her room.
She could hear the trumpets and other instruments blazing in the throne room, but she didn't care. She could also hear Impa leading Mr. Barnes up to her room. "She should be in here, Mr. Barnes," Zelda frowned, and quickly hid in her closet. She was cramped between her many dresses and other items, and found that her feet were sticking out. She put a few of her pants she had for around the castle by her feet.
"Where is she?" She heard Barnes ask, once they stepped into her room. Zelda closed her eyes, hopefully, and she heard her closet door opened. She was hoping he'd go away to wherever he'd come from! "I found her!" He called, and in an instant, she found herself in his arms, and she was ready to throw up. But he wasn't ugly. He had blondihs-red hair, and piercing green eyes. His nose was wide, but he was attractive.
Not as cute as Link, nor as nice, Zelda thought bluntly, and pulled away from him. They had a short conversation in the Castle's courtyard.

"You're the prettiest thing I've ever seen," he said after a five-minute conversation. The next thing he did shocked everyone--he kissed her with much passion.
