Zelda's eyes widened, and she was taken quite aback. She did the
first thing that came to her mind. She drew her arm back and slapped him.
She pumped it pretty hard for a girl her size. Mr. Barnes seemed angered by
this. He looked away slyly, and looked back with his eyes narrowed and a
scary yet somewhat happy smile on his face. He turned to the King and bowed
humbly. "Your Majesty, do forgive me for my actions."
The King raised an eyebrow, glancing at Zelda and then at Cecil
Barnes. "Don't rush things along too quickly, now, you two need to get to
know each other better."
"Father!" Zelda squealed.
"Not now, dear. Chat with Mr. Barnes a little while longer," The King
smiled, pushing his discomfort aside, and walked away, his plump little body
moving in a rhythmic pattern. Zelda turned to Mr. Barnes, her eyes
narrowing.
"Let me get the wheel straight. I like another boy. He's the Hero
of Time, and his name is Link. I don't love you. In fact, as of now, I think
I pretty much hate you. Stay away from me! Or I'll hurt you!"
"With what, Lovely? Your bare little hands? Oh, dear, I do believe I've made
a mistake. You slap pretty hard." Zelda grinned.
"That's right, I do slap hard...Link taught me."
"Tell me more about this Link guy," Barnes replied, ruffling his reddish
hair.
"Well, he grew up in the Forest. He's so nice, I love him so much. Here's
the whole deal on him:
"Link's mother lived in Hyrule Market. We're not really sure where
or who she was, but, during the Imprisoning War, I suppose, she fled for her
son's safety and took him to Kokiri Forest. She was gravely injured on the
way there, and, thus, she died and Link grew up as a Kokiri.
Link knew he was different, and so did everyone else. He never had
a fairy until he was ten, and then that's when Navi showed up. I ordered
Link to come to my castle to save Hyrule from an evil Gerudo King named
Ganondorf Dragmire. I dragged Link into it, and he received the three
spiritual stones. But unfortunately, our plan wasn't as good as we thought
it would be.
Ganondorf beat us to the Triforce. He gained it, and my boyfriend
lost seven years of his life--"
"Did you just call him boyfriend?"
"--Yes, I did," Zelda grimaced at how rude Barnes was. She continued, "Then
he defeated the seven Temples, and destroyed Ganon and Ganondorf. He
returned the peace of our land.
"Aside from that, he's a sensitive, tough, protecting, romantic man. I
love him very much," Zelda took a sip of the chocolate milk in her cup. She
wiped the Milk Mustache away. (Zelda31's note: Got Milk?) (Editor's Note: LOL!)
"It sounds like he's a really good guy, but I'm better..."
There was a long, silent pause. Then Zelda spoke up for her man.
"No, you're not. No one's better than Link. Link is the the best there is,
there's no one better than he."
"So you say, young, vulnerable princess. Your mind is so young, you don't
know a good man when you see one, you just fall in love with any man that
loves you first."
"That is...that is not true," Zelda shot back.
"Lovely lady, look into my eyes and tell me that you do not see a great
future with me as your husband," Zelda stared into his piercing green eyes,
and that's when it happened.
"I love you," she said, but she didn't want to say it. She was saying words
that weren't really her own! "I mean I..don't...DO LOVE YOU!" Why couldn't
she say that she didn't love him?
"That's good, Princess. Do you want to marry me?" Zelda nodded roughly, as
if she couldn't say no.
"Should we tell your father?" There was a pause, and Zelda tried to shake
her head no. But, through her efforts, her head bobbed up and down. "Lets go
tell your father the news! Should we marry in two days?" Once again, Zelda
nodded.

"OUCH! My tongue!" Link howled, tears of pain and laughter welling in
his eyes. The tea Saria had made for him was TOO HOT!
"I wanted to talk to you," Saria murmured, giggling wildly. "Zelda's got a
suitor, and his name is Cecil Barnes. Her father chose him for her."
"I know, I've had a little meeting with him. How's your fairy?"
"She's fine," Saria grinned, looking over at her own Fairy, Olivia, and
Navi, while they played together. "I always wondered why those two hung out
so much."
"I can't let Zelda marry that pig, Saria. We've got to get her out of it
somehow. I'm the one she should marry!" Link pointed at himself, tears
welling in his eyes again.
"I don't know if I can do anything, Link, I mean, its her father's duty to
pick a suitor and all..."
"Saria, you've got to help me. I can't get her out of it on my own. Will you
go to the Castle with me tomorrow?" Saria didn't know what else to do, so
she agreed. The night passed quickly.
***
"Can you believe it, Daddy?*giggle* I'm finally getting married!" Zelda
spoke her artificial words, and her face lit up an unusually bright pink.
Something was controlling her, not only her, but her actions, her thoughts,
her speech. Each moment, she had less and less control, until she finally
left her body, and someone else--or something else-- was controlling her.
"I can't believe it, my little girl is growing up so quickly. I'm glad that
you like Cecil so much, when are you going to tell Link that you're--??"
"Oh, as soon as possible, daddy. I'll get on it right away," As Zelda spoke,
the King noticed something unusual about her. She called him 'daddy.' What
happened to the word 'father?'
Zelda skipped gaily up to her room, and then Cecil entered. "Hello,
beautiful." He kissed her, and she had no objections.
"I can't wait until we marry," she said happily. Cecil nodded.
"Nor can I, for I have a great surprise waiting for you."
"What is it, Master?" She asked. Cecil slapped her, and yelled at her.
"You are NOT to call me Master! You will call me darling, or handsome."
***
"I'm going to investigate," Link climbed onto the roof of the castle,
and peered into Zelda's bedroom window. He saw Cecil and Zelda discussing,
and he noticed something. Something that would change his point of view of
Zelda forever. She leaned forward and kissed Cecil. Link's eyes gapped open,
as did his mouth. Suddenly, Cecil looked out at Link, and noticed he was on
the castle roof. Zelda seemed not to notice, and the two's eyes locked.
Link was frozen with fear. He could see something swirling around in
Cecil's eyes. Link had a conclusion! He banged on the window, and Zelda
looked over, but not fast enough. "Go away, for a moment, lovely."
"As you say, darling." Zelda turned away, and exitted the room. Cecil went
over to the window, and opened it.
"What do you want?" He asked bluntly. "She loves me, not yet, get on
with life."
"Stay away from my girlfriend," Link toned in, his voice harsh and raspy.
"And get off my castle's roof." Cecil reached forward, but Link was too
quick. He dived in at Cecil, and Cecil dropped to the ground. Link scrambled
to his feet and headed to Cecil's room.
Once there, he locked himself inside. Cecil had obviously lost track of
him. Link looked around for any evidence that prooved Cecil wasn't who he
really seemed to be. Finally, Link discovered a notebook labelled as "My
Plans for Marriage..." He opened it, and read it out loud. Unfortunately,
there was no so-bad stuff there, just items needed for the wedding. Link
searched some more. Finally, he discovered a journal. His eyes lit up, and
he turned it to the first page.
No, Princess Zelda will not be murdered, just slaughtered.
There is a difference. Too bad she doesn't know who I am! If she knew that I
was Ganondorf Dragmire, she would be so upset!
As soon as we wed, I will release her from my spell. She'll be off
in another place before she can even get divorced, and her father will not
care. He actually thinks I'd make a better husband than Link! Oh, Link, he
has his doom coming. I'll slaughter him as well. I'll burn him alive,
surrounded in a ring of fire, in a Gerudo Ceremony. (Editor's Note: Doesn't this remind you of part one of MY fan-fic? I ought to ask about that!)
Link's eyes widened, and he now knew the whole truth. Zelda wasn't
kissing Cecil, or should we say "Ganondorf" out of her own free will,
Ganondorf was controlling her! Link rose, and he hadn't noticed the pounding
of the door. They had found him.
"You stay here, I'll deal with him," Cecil pushed the guards and
other aside, and stepped into the room, locking it behind him. Ganondorf
noticed Link holding the journal. "So, you've found it and read it, eh? No
wonder we couldn't get in. Yes, so you know who I am. But you won't for
long," Ganondorf shot him a nasty grin, and morphed into his old form. He
quickly shoved Link out of the window of the room, and the glass shattered.
Link screamed.
He was falling, falling, falling. He could see Saria, and she looked
up with pure alarm on her face. She could see what would become of him. He
landed hard on the ground. "LINK!!"
"He's in a coma, and he's hurt himself pretty badly," Said a
doctor, looking at them with not the slightest look of pleasure on his face.
"You best keep visitors limited. He should be okay, though."
Zelda displayed false sympathy. She really wanted to show Sympathy,
but Ganondorf had her controlled. "Ooo, that's too bad..."
Ganondorf slipped into Link's hospital room. "Hhahahaha, No one can
see through my disguise. There's no brain damage, oh well." Ganondorf
sighed. "I'll just have to make sure you don't survive the night," He
announced as he slid over to a primitive feeding tube. He pulled it out, and
he looked over the rest of the primitive tubes and items keeping Link alive.
He found a primitive mask over Link's face, and ripped it off. Link's chest
puffed up, and he made a gasping noise. Suddenly, an alarm went off. Impa
rushed into the room.
"Someone's ripped the mask off and the feeding tube off! God, no!"
Impa fumbled through the darkness of the room, looking at Link's limp body
and the controls. It was a good thing that she re-attached them in time.
Hours passed, and finally Link came to. "Where am I?" He asked,
gazing around the room. He remembered what had happened. "IMPA! SOMEBODY!"
Impa was rushing into the room in a second. "Impa, Impa, please, Oh God, may
you understand what I'm about to tell you. You see, I found something in G-I
mean, Cecil's room...he's GANONDORF! Oh please, listen to me!"
"Link, I believe you, a little bit."
"Really?"
"Yes, and I'll believe you some more when you get some rest."
